Midweek sports notes LADY BRAHMAS MAKE ALL-DISTRICT BASKETBALL A pair of H.M. King High School varsity girls basketball players were recently named to the All-District 31-4A team. Jasmine Richardson was selected for the first alldistrict team and Kaylie Hahn received Honorable Mention. “These two were my number one and two scorers averaging 10-12 points a game this season,” Head Coach Ann Callis said. “It was more than just points that they contributed to our team but also their outright hustle. They played almost every minute in every game, unless they were in foul trouble, and always gave a hundred percent.” The all-district duo consistently led the Lady Brahmas with their tenacity this season. “Jasmine made all-district as a freshman and was beat by one vote in getting Newcomer of the Year,” Callis said. “As for Kaylie, there were games when she literally would not come off the court at all.” The Lady Brahmas went 2-1 in district, 10-17 overall, and snapped an eight year 31- 4A losing streak.
