Eddie Yaklin Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School generates thousands of dollars for King High

Eddie Yaklin Ford and the community raised thousands of dollars for H.M. King High School during Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program here March 6 in front of the high school.
Ford Motor Company and Eddie Yaklin Ford partnered to help raise money for the H.M. King High Mighty Brahma Band and athletic program by offering the opportunity to test driving a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle at the school at the one-day event.
Ford Motor Company and Eddie Yaklin Ford donate $20 to H.M. King High School for every person from a unique household who test drove a 2010 Taurus, Fusion Hybrid, Mercury Milan or Lincoln MKT.
Since the start of the program in 2007, Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program has raised more than $2.3 million for close to 700 high schools across the country and has enabled more than 125,000 people to test drive new Ford vehicles.
There were plenty of folks who signed up to test drive a vehicle from Eddie Yaklin Ford, and other student organizations also took advantage of the Drive One 4 UR School program to raise funds.
The monies raised during the Drive One 4 UR School program have helped fund extracurricular activities like sports and band programs, helping to ensure that these programs continue in local communities.
In addition to raising much-needed revenue for high school extracurricular activities, Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program also gives participants the chance to take a look at Ford and Lincoln Mercury’s new cars and technologies.
“We’re excited to help raise money for H.M. King High School and at the same time showcase our innovative lineup,” said Omar Silva, Business Development Manager for Eddie Yaklin Ford.
“It’s important that students continue to have opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, and we’re very proud of our current vehicles,” he said.
